Slides containing metaphase spreads or interphase nuclei are denatured and hybridized with Spectrum Green/Spectrum Orange and/or Spectrum Aqua DNA probes. The nuclei are counterstained with DAPI. This procedure allows the specific detection of unique and repetitive sequences using DNA probes.
